tissot t-lordIn 1853 in the Swiss mountain range Jura, in the Neuchâtel district, in the city of Le Locle, Charles-Félicien Tissot with his son Charles-Emile established the Tissot watchmaker's company. Led by an extraordinarily innovative spirit and an intense drive for technical craft, these two founders introduced to the watchmaker's trade a strong trade company.
Throughout the existence of the Tissot Company, the firm has always attracted the attention of both people of the clockmaker's trade and the broad public. No matter what they accomplished - the development of their own movements, of special and non-standard materials, or the focus on the multifunctional use of their timepieces - they have always been technicians and engineers participating in the development of new watches and new movement models - pioneers in their trade. Incidentally, Tissot produced the first antimagnetic watch, the first plastic watch, the "Rock Watch" - the first watch made of stone, the "Wood Watch" - the first wooden watch, and recently the "T-touch" - a watch controlled via a touch-sensitive screen.
