Tag Heuer

tag heuer micrographIn 1860 Edouard Heuer established a company called Edouard Heuer & Company. He chose the small town of Sant Imier - where he had worked till then at the Louis Kerner & Son Company - for his base. The company attracted public notice for the first time in 1916 by introducing the worlds first chronograph called Mikrograph that was capable of accurately measuring within 1/100th of a second. The Heuer Company followed this success 50 years later in 1966 - when it brought to the light the Microtimes watch that could accurately measure within 1/1000th of a second. In 1985 the company merged with the TAG financial group.

For instance in 1911 it introduced a model called Time of trip the first automobile chronograph built directly into a dashboard, and in 1986 it became an official partner of the McLaren stable. And probably everybody remembers an excellent actor and an automobile racer Steve McQueen who lent his face to the advertisement of these sporty watches for good.
